Let's Compare Grades. After all, we're CCers.

For your first marking period, list the classes (including level of difficulty, such as honors/AP/regular/etc.), the type of school you go to, and the weighted grade you received in that class. Do not include art classes, unless they're APs, or Health/Gym/Drivers Ed, or other required classes.

American History Honors - 97
English 2 Honors - 96
Chemistry Honors - 100
Precalculus Honors - 98
Spanish 3 Honors - 97

Average: 97.6 %

wow. (10 char)

Why does everyone spit on art classes? At my school, painting is taught by an actual pro painter and she is not afraid to be harsh. I would not be surprised if she gave Bs and Cs.

AP>Adv>Honors>Standard

Sends a few to ivies each year

Adv. Pre-Cal - 89
AP English Language - 94
AP Chem - 88
Adv. Physics - 89 or 90, don’t know yet
APUSH - 97 or 98
AP Java - 89 or 90

Average - 91% or 91.5%

AP Biology - 101%
AP Literature - 98%
AP Calculus - 104%
Computer Programming 2 - 99% (Concurrent enrollment)
Advanced Graphics - 101% (Concurrent enrollment)

Average - 100.6%

My high school is easy, but I still have to try hard to get these grades.

I’m just upset b/c I got 3 grades that were like 92.44 which = A- ;92.5–> teachers would sometimes/generally round up to an A =(

IGCSE English 9 - 84%
IGCSE Math 9 - 83%
IGCSE Science 9 - 88%
IGCSE World Civ - 94%
Honors Spanish II - 94%
Business Essentials -101%

I forgot to add what grade you’re in. I’m a sophomore.

In addition, any other information that may be relevant can be included…

So to update my original post…

Extra Information:
Cuts off grades at 100, even if you manage to get a weighted average above it.

Technology classes count, assuming they’re not like Required Intro to Computers or something.

Okay then, to update:

Grade: Senior

Computer Applications II: 96
Adv. Anatomy/Physiology: 82
AP Psychology: 93
AP Art History: 82

AP English Literature 112
AP United States History 105
Biology Honors 108
CHM 151: General Chemistry I (College) 104
MAT 271: Calculus I (College) 104

We actually never use weighted grades; they’re only used in WGPA calculations. Unweighted grades are put on our transcript. In most of my classes the great majority of people are failing, and perhaps it should be noted that no one else at my school ever takes more than 4 courses per semester; I haven’t taken 4 courses in a semester during any point in high school.

Oh, and what is everyone taking next semester? Looks like I’m taking:

AP English Literature and Composition
AP United States History
CHM 152: General Chemistry II (College)
Civics and Economics Honors
MAT 272: Calculus II (College)
POL 120: American Government (College)

Since I’m on the block schedule, first term is over. here’s my grade:
AP Physics 96.10%
AP U.S. History 97.16%
AP Statistics 96.30%
Psychology 96.26%

This term:
Photo I: 99.31%
AVID 11 100%
AP English Language and Composition: 89.58% (I’m prepared to get a B in this class anyway. No one ever get an A in that class)
Computer Technology: 102.42%

You guys know you can compare the grades you received in classes to what your classmates received on [GradeABase.com - Compare college grades and view course difficulty](http://www.gradeabase.com) right? Seems like its right up your ally!

American Literature: 101%
Advanced Spanish: 98%
Honors Chemistry: 98%

MP1 Actual Grades:

AP English Language: A-
Spanish V Literature: A
Honors Physics: A-
AP Calculus AB: A- (this got changed from a B so I’m happy)
AP Macroeconomics: B
AP US History: B-

Not the best grades you’ve ever seen, but they were alright. I wish I’d bumped more of them up to solid A’s though. Then again, I’m at a completely new HS this year, so I guess that was my adjustment period…

Predicted MP2 Grades (don’t know the actual ones):

AP English Language: A (this one’s definite)
Spanish V Literature: A (definite as well)
Honors Physics: A- (most likely)
AP Calculus AB: B+ (definite)
AP Macroeconomics: B (definite)
AP US History: I have no idea, but I’m guessing an A-? I did a lot better in this class during the second marking period. We also had more tests.

I’m really scared about my S1 grades, for a number of reasons:

 1. Calc AB is on the borderline between a B+ and an A-, depending on how well I did on the final.
 2. I think I failed my physics final, and since I’ve been teetering in the A-minus range all semester long, I’m scared that my grade will go down although my teacher claims he’ll have a curve.
 3. I have absolutely no idea what to expect for APUSH.
 4. I know for sure I have solid A’s in both English and Spanish, but I already have a B+ in AP Macroecon (unless there was a grading error on my final - I’m seeing my teacher in January to discuss that), so I can’t really afford to have any more B’s.

:(

You guys need lives.
