LETS discuss frats & sororities

I might get laughed at for asking this, but are there any sororities that have a reputation for being more intellectual? I'm not saying nerdy necessarily. My brother told me one that he thought was, but I can't remember. I've also heard that doing things like Mock Trial will create your own social bubble, but be a little less expensive.

Buffalo- APO is very, very cheap - $15 a year for dues ;) Of course, there will probably always be unforseen expenses, but it's one of the lowest I've seen.

cloying- Any of the ethnic/multicultural sororities would probably be a good place to start looking. Organizations like APO are not official greek organizations, they're organizations with greek lettered names, but there are many for specific majors, interests, etc. Unfortunately, I don't know of a good listing for them since they aren't included on the Greek Affairs website (<a href="http://greeks.unc.edu/content/blogcategory/0/67/)%5B/url%5D">http://greeks.unc.edu/content/blogcategory/0/67/)</a>. Off the top of my head, I can think of APO (co-ed service fraternity), a music-based (co-ed maybe?) fraternity, a couple of different business fraternities, and a pharmacy fraternity. I would say there is definitely a fit out there for everyone. :)
