theres a thread about the sororties started already. i'm thinking about pledging too so you might find this helpful.

I don't believe there is one "best" sorority. The best one is the one that is best for you. Ask around about the various sororities and you will get different answers from different people. I've never heard any agreement on which one is "the best."

My daughter pledged a sorority and she is having a lot of fun. It doesn't rule her life, though, and it doesn't seem to contribute very much to her sense of identity (which is not the case with a lot of people, which is fine, too). She has lots of close friends who are not in her sorority, so I feel like pledging was a great decision for her.

My observations about "rush" was that it was pretty intense. Just be prepared for an emotional week. It did take a whole lot of time at first, which caused her to stress a bit about her schoolwork for a while. But after initiation, it all calmed down, and she seems to have found a pretty good balance.

From a guys perspective, the top ones were ZTA, Chi O, ADPi, and KD. THe ones that weren't so well loved were Pi Phi, Phi Mu, and KKG. I haven't heard much about Tri-Delt, but I was in Econ with a girl in there and she seemed pretty cool.
