Let's get to know each other! Everyone who posts, take 4 minutes and type anything you can think of.

I'm an Electrical Engineering major incoming freshmen. I like swimming, playing chess, and randomly hugging my sister.

I hate mosquitoes, uncomfortable chairs and catching the flu. Federer beat Nadal 16-14. I have no idea how to program. I like people with a sense of humor.

I always score higher in English than Math, but I'm majoring in Engineering.... and I'd like to get to know all of you.

Yeah, that crush thread was stupid sounding, but I’ll have to admit it was hella entertaining (yeah, I said it. hella.)

I’m a freshman, pre-business economics major coming in with a total of 16 units, as opposed to the 2489032840 that everyone else has. I hate the idea of calculus with a passion, which is why I FREAKED OUT when I heard my AP scores and don’t have to take anymore calculus at UCLA. Hell yes. I don’t think taking 20 community college classes per summer when I’m not sure what I’m going to stick with is the smartest choice, so I’m holding off on that. I teach swim lessons, played water polo (and am now way too out of shape to play anymore), and swam throughout high school. Teaching swim lessons sucks the fun out of my summer, but it’s good money. I love some of the kids though. I thought Carpe Noctum was fun. I love playing Fieldrunners on my iTouch. I converted from PC to Mac and love it so far. I love food. I played violin for 10 years, drum set for 1, and percussion for 3. I was the first chair violinist in high school and still don’t think I’m good enough for UCLA. I love shopping. I’m super excited to go to UCLA. Go Bruins!

“My 2 favorite teams are UCLA and whoever is playing USC.” <-I have that shirt.

I’ve lived in norcal for the past 13 years of my life, having immigrated from asia at a very young age. I’m an incoming freshman majoring in biochem, which I’m kinda regretting because I was hoping to do more biology than chemistry and I found out biochem is under the physical science department. In any case, I want to be pre-med, although I don’t know how realistic that is until I actually get into university. I’m the studious type of guy, you’ll see me studying rather than partying. That’s not to say I don’t like to have a good time, I’m just not into the blaring loud music, clubbing scene. I’m good with computers, I keep up with tech stuff, I’m inseparable from my iPod touch (PLEASE stop calling it the iTouch). I’m pretty tolerant of people, but I’d rather keep a small group of friends rather than know a bunch of random people.

I have the 33rd best intermediate minesweeper time in the state of California, but the website that keeps track hasn’t posted my time yet :(. My Harvard interviewer suggested that I go to UCLA. I think he was joking.

This thread should be on Class of 2013 subforum haha

I am a bizecon major and probably going to double major in math/applied sci. Incoming freshie.

I am a Korean guy. I have bangs. I have a large wardrobe. Yeah I am bit of a clean freak when it comes to clothes.

I hate cliques. I hate drama. I enjoy hanging out with different groups of friends and enjoy meeting new people. I often ask random girls out, although it doesn’t work out often haha.

I like having fun. But I get serious when it comes to studying when necessary. I am a heavy procrastinator.

I buy items for cheap from ebay, friends and neighbors (as well as pawn shops and yard sales) and resell them on ebay and amazon for profit.

I am taking 11 semester units this summer at local CC and it blows

thats pretty cool, i didn’t know they actually keep track… what was your time? i beat beginner in 4 seconds (without a mouse, using macbook touchpad running windows :))

I play Intermediate most often because I don’t like losing after two minutes :), so that’s why my score there is relatively low (compared to expert). I play pretty obsessively though. I usually have the game open most of the night, playing on and off, and I actually got that 26 while playing at school.

I’m a Political Science major and a proud member of the class of 2013. I’m going to minor in public policy and a foreign language. I plan to join student government. I am a Caucasian and ashamed of the fact. I am an agnostic. I love to discuss politics, philosophy, and religion. Every conversation I have enters one of these three fields. Wow! two hours have passed talking about the meaning of life, and all I asked is what’s your favorite pizza topping! I appear introverted to the average person, but really am not. Donnie Darko is the best film ever made and if you disagree…you got some splainin’ to do. 1984 is my favorite book. “War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength.” I like irony. FDR was amazing. I am an unapologetic Democrat, yet I love Republicans. I was born in California and will die in Washington, D.C. (In 84 years at the hand of an assassin). I will be President of the United States (stop laughing!!!). My favorite word is “oxymoron”. My least favorite phrase is “what if”.

We have a table tennis table at home, but I guess we don’t really play by Olympic rules or anything. I don’t know how typical our house rules are.
