lets obsess more - how DOES decision come - email first? online first? mail first?

Just to help pass the time and if you want to join my obsession of checking the website every 30 minutes (ha ha) - how does this work? Do you get an email saying check online? Or do you see online first? Or do you get snail mail and online same day? And what TIME of day? I would guess it would be during their working office hours (they as in Admissions office)? Just wondering - something else to clutter my mind for this important week.

I believe it will come by email with a link that you use your Application ID to access.

what he said

no ones knows the time or date. I probobly wont happen at midnight or anything.

Hmmm maybe I’ll CALL AND ASK after school.

The website says that decisions will be mailed in early April. Have people been told otherwise?

Historically they have been released sometime around the 24-26th of March. April 1 is the “no later than” date that most schools use for notification.

You would think I might remember when my D received her decision two years ago, but I don’t. I stand corrected - carry on with obsessing - and good luck!

Does anyone know how quickly a transfer could choose on campus living? Also how early can a freshman?

I’m thinking the Email to tell you to get saying to go to the website where they give you the decision should be coming around Wednesday, then mailed decisions would be given on April 1st.

Anddd as for housing, you’ll be able to choose housing once your deposit is paid and JMU sends you a oneBook. You can look at the OneBook website to see some of the dates.
If you’re interested, I have an online version of last years OneBook that you could look at to get an idea.
I think Transfers and Freshmen go through the same housing process.

Just conjecture here, but DS has to accept/reject his Madison Scholarship by March 24 (Weds.), but his Honors decision was deferred to the Regular decision group. Do they really expect a commitment from him without knowing his Honors admissions status? Maybe the emails are scheduled out before then…

Hmmmm, then perhaps the decision will come either later this evening or tomorrow?
Maybe you should call and ask what you should do in that situation, because that really doesn’t seem fair >.<

DS just called, can now postpone his decision until April 1. SO - that doesn’t help at all as far as when you all should hear!

^ haha thanks! I was seriously just about to call!

I have to go to work for 5 hours in 20 minutes, and I’m REALLY hoping there’ll be an email waiting for me when I get back… aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Darnit!
Well at least you have the scholarship thing sorted out, which is good!
I think I can attempt some patience for this decision . . . . I should probably put my email checking abilities into my homework >.>

And hmmmmmm, I hope there’s an email waiting in that long xD
I have the email alerts on my phone though . . . . so I’ll post here if I get an email regarding decisions O:

hey droDEAD, do you have a pdf one book or something or do you just have the site from last year?

It’s kind of like a PDF only it isn’t a file you can save.
It may be the virtual copy of the book they put out, but it isn’t the site. This years site will be available after decisions are sent out.
I read through it and all that jazz.
Here’s the link (: -> [click here](http://jamesmadisonuniversity.v1.myvirtualpaper.com/FirstYearOneBook/2009040301)
You can read it easier if you click the icon that has a 1 and a page on it…when you hover over it, it says page mode.

ohhhhh
reading…

Reading the OneBook makes me even more anxious for the decision!

Thanks for that!
Yea i cant get enough info until i get that email.
ive set my email to send me a text if anything comes in with the subject or body of jmu. Im fearing now that it wont come until March 31.

Haha me either.
But don’t worry about that!
According to everyone that has applied last year, the email came around the 22nd, give or take a few days.
I doubt they’d wait until March the 31st to give the decision, cause that’s just ONE day before the snail mail decisions are mailed.
I’m really thinking it’ll get here on Wednesday, just because of people’s scholarships and such.
I wouldn’t be able to stand it if I had to wait any longer than that =P

I’m super excited though >w<
