How do you think we'll find out? Cause I think I lost that number to log in to check my application status :( And my computer crashed so i cant get it!

letters are being sent out MONDAY
and supposedly they are e-mailing decisions at some point, but I am not sure which one will come first

if u read the previous forum you'd know that they e-mailed me with acceptance.. but tht also maybe becuz m international.. hmmm... goodluck!

Hopefully they'll e-mail on Monday also, so we don't have to wait that extra day or two to get the letter.

if you lost your number, you can email them to send you another (on the application check status page) and they will send it to you...i lost mine too, did that, and got it within 20 minutes...i was like, "dang that's fast..."

just to confirm what baseballguy said...i also heard decisions will be mailed monday the 12th. not too sure about decisions via e-mail though

I am pretty curious whether or not they are going to post it on their site.. "check your app. status" cuz i dont know if anyone else noticed this but you can pretty much look at everyone elses application number since you dont need a password.. haha

I e-mailed the admissions counselor from my region, I can't take this anymore. It's essentially like torture, telling us that they will post them online, but not when they'll be doing it. I'm pretty sure this would be the first year they're doing this, so maybe there are still some kinks that need to be ironed out before the process is perfected.

did you all try calling JMU n asking an official??

No, aren't they coming back from break today? And it was 10:30pm haha

lol... i got my letter a few hours ago from UPS.. said the same thing.. but do you they
let you know if you've won a scholarship? lol theres no mention of anything like that :( or is it that u apply for it later?

Thats cool at least how you know that ur in

If anyone finds out online/via email be sure to let us know here!

jamesnew, do you live in/near harrisonburg? because that was quick if they mailed them today and you got yours already.

just kidding, just checked a different post and you're the international one. my bad.

i am out of state, so hopefully I will get my letter tomorrow or wednesday if its true that they sent acceptances/denials out today

I'm the parent of an applicant and I received an email this morning from JMU, stating that admissions decisions would be available online and that their early action decisions were "being finalized and will be mailed and posted online shortly".

I received that around 9 this morning. My dd didn't get an email and I haven't heard anything else.

Anyway....I hope it will be soon!!

What exactly does "shortly" mean? A few minutes? hours? days?

It's really annoying that they're always so vague. Also, I'm pretty sure JMU must be one of the last schools to announce their Early Action notifications. Can't they do it Dec. 1st like everyone else?

I am also a parent and I did not receive an email, although my D's guidance counselor told her we would be receiving an email. Does she know something we don't? The plot thickens...

My dd is homeschooled, so I suppose that makes me her guidance counselor! That would explain why I received an email, and so did your dd's guidance counselor.

I'm hoping that means good news is coming!!!
