Would you A- Go to a less prestigious academy such as the Citadel or
B- go to a regular college and then join up afterwards?

You go to wherever you can get the education that YOU feel best prepares you for what you want to do in life. Going to West Point is about becoming an Army officer, not about being in the most "prestigious" academy or University.

ROTC is an excellent alternative. It's the same rank at the end.

It may largely depend on your situation, but I circumvented cureaucracy by directly contacting the admissions director.I was advised that possibly because of my....shall we say "unique" situation) that going to the Citadel would be my best bet to convince the board that I was fit to take.

^^yup didn't understand a word of what you just said.

If I don't get in, ill go to another good college and possibly do rotc. Its not going to be the end of the world, but rather fate if I don't get in. I'll be upset, mainly because of the time wasted filling out the huge application. Just joking. But yea, I'll make the best of whatever situation i am in.

if you didnt understand wat i said how could u answer it exactly as i wanted...=D...but yeah thanks for answering at least

I was referring to Arinthel's post directly above mine. Thats why i put the ^^^

Oh well then i think its safe to say that I did not understand your post lol
