Let's see how good you are at chancing

I just want to see how good you guys are. Chance this guy who applied last year, I want to see how accurate CCers really are.

Try not to put %s, just put in, or not, or waitlist -->in/out or something like that

Stats:
SAT: 2320, 2220 (not sure what it is superscored)
SAT II: should be perfect, chem, bio, math II
GPA: between 3.8-4.0
IB score: 44 (6 in english, 7 in the rest)
school doesn't rank, but he's either 1/~450 or 2/~450

2x AIME qualifier
CMO qualifier (canadian math olympiad)
Many, many other national and provincial level math/science awards

Various club activities, not president but exec in many.
Not too sure about other ECs, but it's not impressive, but not bad either. Very average.

International
Asian-canadian
upper-middleclass/lower upperclass
male
no hooks
great recs
probably a good essay

Applied to:
Yale (SCEA)
Columbia
Cornell
Berkeley

safties and matches in Canada, but it's not like anyone wants to be chanced for their saftey anyway, most people looking for chances are after reaches, which are also the most unpredictable so...

yeah. I'll post the actual results when there are sufficient responses and I feel like it.

Accepted to Columbia and Berkeley.

In everywhere except Yale.

bonus points if you guess right completely

(ex yale deferred —>waitlist—>not in (hint: this didn’t happen))

Also, if you need more info, ask what you need and if i know it I’ll answer.

BUMP BUMP BUMP

c’mon guys

this would be even more cool, if all accepted candidates from all colleges would join this thread and follow this excellent example. I want to see how right CC is.

aw I hoped for moer responses… c’mon you guys don’t you wanna see how accurate you are…

Accepted by Columbia and Berkeley, Cornell waitlisted

Yale (SCEA) > Deferred > Rejected
Columbia > Accepted
Cornell > Accepted
Berkeley > Accepted

Just a random guess.

Yale- Rejected
Columbia- Rejected
Cornell-Accepted
Berkley-Accepted

anyone else?

keep 'em coming!

I’m a bit suspicious so I’d say either Cornell or nowhere. Normally I’d say all but Yale but since you ask…

Yale-rejected
Columbia-waitlisted-accepted
Cornell-accepted
Berkley-accepted

waitlisted at cornell eventually accepted, didn’t get in anywhere else.

got accepted everywhere except Berkeley
I wonder if he asked for finacial aid

accepted by berkeley and cornell only

I think he was accepted to Berkeley, Cornell, and Columbia.

No fin aid.

I assume that no one has guessed correctly. If not, my reluctance to answer “chances” threads is reinforced. Unless one can see the entire application, compared to other applications, it is difficult (at best) to discern results. If someone has guessed correctly, let us know. And congrats to the winner!

Hmm…that’s a no to Berkeley then. I don’t think they offer financial aid. Therefore, I’m going to say Cornell and Columbia.
