Quick question - Will the famous tube be coming to RD admitted students, too this year?
I was waitlisted as well. Honestly surprised because, despite my grades and tests scores, I had no real “hook.” I know chances are slim, but I’m happy to have one last chance at it, even if it means waiting a while longer. It also means I was in the top ~10% of applicants, which hopefully bodes well for Ivy Day!
Congrats to everyone who got in. For everyone who didn’t - you’re awesome and you’ll do great things anyways. Especially since I’ll likely be joining you soon enough

Did anyone else glance at their acceptance letter and initially think they were rejected because of how short it was and generic it looked?
Ayyeee waitlisted. At least I wasn’t flat out rejected so they didn’t totally hate me.

looks like i’ll be going to caltech now! (not complaining, i just don’t know caltech as well as mit since i’m from the east coast and i attended mit splash every year)
OMG I got into MIT rd and Stanford ea! This still feels like a dream. Congrats everyone.
@vibritannias , I visited caltech and the campus is very small compared to others and the students mainly do research. The classes are extremely hard, and I’ve heard it has a high suicide rate :o I’m sure that you’re a dedicated student who will do great though good luck over the next 4 years!!
