Let's start a place for class of 2020 MIT hopefuls or something!

Caltech does not have higher high suicide rate than mit, it is a small school, students help each other rather than competing with each other.

Accepted!!! I can’t believe it. I’m so excited for my future at MIT.

Congratulations to all who were admitted!
For those who were admitted, do you have access to the Campus Preview Weekend registration, etc. on your MyMIT?

Not yet. I was looking over some old blog posts, and it seems like many of the admitted student things like CPW registration don’t go live for a week or so. That’s what I’m assuming for now at least.

@Hermit9 same lol. I like that CAN album cover tho

@asdfasdf4234 @jhaag16 EA admit here. For us, in a day or two, myMIT transformed into an accepted students portal, where you can sign into the guestbook and register for CPW and everything. So just give it a couple days and you can register.

Waitlisted. Actually kinda happy…Last year MIT waitlisted even fewer people than they admit, which means even less odds!(especially for me who have no scientific rewards at all) Optimism is the key LOL. I hope I will be admitted in May. MIT is my dream. Congrats to those admitted and all best wishes for those rejected, you are all amazing!

hello friends, just dropping in to say congrats to the admits, but more importantly, its by no means the end of the road if you took an L today. I got flat out rejected by MIT last year and was pretty much resigned to the fact that I would end up at my state school. I ended up getting into more than a couple of top choices (now a proud princetonian). g’luck to all of you as the decisions start rolling in, there is definitely hope.

@NotTop8Percent No way, you’re a Can fan? Sweet!

Does anyone know when we will receive financial aid package? I heard that they increase their financial aid budget significantly this year.

@meowmeowwww someone from admissions confirmed it was tomorrow evening, probably 5 PM EDT. Also yes, the financial aid budget increased by 10.4% this year.

10.4%? Great news! MIT is my dream school, but my parents can only contribute less than ten thousand dollars. Hope that tomorrow financial aid package can relieve my parents’ financial burden.

Is there a Stats page somewhere for MIT admits???

Did anyone get waitlisted?

Has anyone gotten the cylinders yet?

I have not received it yet :frowning: but I live in California, so I’m expecting to get mine later than most everyone else. Has anyone from the east coast gotten their cylinders yet?

@hi13579 - I haven’t gotten mine yet and I’m from the northeast

I got mine already and I’m international.

Ayy I got mine yesterday XD
