Let's talk politics. Who do you want to win in 2012?

Obama 2012, the whole damn way.

All of the Republican candidates are either cracked, bat****, weak, unprepared, or (in the case of most of them) all of the above.

If Huntsman won the GOP nomination (lol), I’d watch the general election debates since they would probably be about issues.

I’d probably vote for Obama out of all the candidates.

While I am no particular fan of his, I don’t think Romney can be included in your negative description of the republican candidates. He is a credible candidate by any fair standard, with a rather decent record of accomplishment in both government and business. This is evidenced in the polls, where Romney and Obama are running even. Further, he was supposedly #1 at Stanford University, so he is rather intelligent.

"[basically anyone on the right, because if we stay on our current socialist path( just calling em how I see em) were gonna end up a bigger welfare state than Europe]. "

Take a look at the constitution. You don’t even have to read it in its entirety, just the preamble which it states, ‘We the people, in order to … promote the general welfare’.

There have always been aspects of socialism in the United States such as government regulated water, electricity, roads, police, and so forth. All those things which government can provide with more efficacy than private corporations would and that are basic necessities. Whether healthcare is one of the things that should be regulated by the government is not something I care to debate. But to dismiss it on the basis of its supposed promulgation of socialism and anti-capitalism is a narrow way of considering it.

In addition, the right wing wants to take money from the poor and give it to the rich i.e. taxing individuals and allowing negative taxes to go to large corporations. They claim that this will create jobs, but they are wrong because we live in demand economy.

Obama 2012

This thread is being closed because, as a couple of posters have pointed out, political debates are not allowed by the Terms of Service.
