Which presidential candidate do YOU support?

I support Ron Paul. Hey, it could happen.

Obama 100%. Absolutely adore pretty much everything about him as a possible President.

Ron Paul does not even believe in evolution. It shows a lack of intelligence. I do not see what is so appealling about him. Can anyone tell me?

OBAMA 08

I am more concerned about his political stance than his religious beliefs. In case you haven't noticed, Obama's religion has been a source of embarassment for him, too.

Mostly I like Ron Paul because he's for limiting the role of government in our everyday lives. Less Fascism is good.

I'm really on the fence about Clinton vs Obama.

Obama vs. Clinton hardly matter nows; without Michigan/Florida AND a massive swing of superdelegates, it's 99.999999% mathematically impossible for Clinton to win the nomination (I'm not sure if it's passed the official Impossible mark yet or not). I'm sure they'd both be fine as President, and Obama gets a political version of AA by winning back positive "diversity" and "multicultural" points for America, so it's no skin off my nose.

Idk, Hilary just turns me off in general. That's emotion speaking in place of any substantial knowledge of politics. :)

Big government =/ fascism, stellanova.

And in many cases political stance = religious beliefs. How would Paul do anything environmentally if he doesn't believe in global warming. And more importantly, how thick does he have to be to deny what's right in front of his face?

Karajanhra, Obama gets "AA" points by being the first black prez and Clinton doesn't? She would be the first woman.

Obama's winning completely on his own merits. And by the way, I support him.

bush/cheney '08

fosho

^^^haha wow. another 4 yrs of bush and we would be in another great depression.

obama has a lot of controversy with his pastor. i dont know what he would do in the white house.

clinton is a b i t c h. straight up.

mccain is old. he would prob die within a year of his presidency.

John McCain.

southeasttitan, how would you define fascism?

Actually, Ron Paul does support taking measures to help the environment. He just doesn't believe in overstepping the government's constitutional rights using "the environment" as an excuse.

Fascism
noun
a political system based on a very powerful leader, state control and extreme pride in country and race, and in which political opposition is not allowed

fascist
noun [C]
1 someone who supports fascism

2 a person of the far right in politics

3 DISAPPROVING someone who does not allow any opposition:

Ex: He reckons all policemen are fascists and bullies.

I'm fairly sure that big government does not equal fascist.

I second McCain.

i hate all three candidates. I wish that Huckabee would have won the nomination. Even he isn't the most intelligent candidate, a good leader's policies are always rooted in his/her morals of altruism and/or beliefs.

Reluctantly supporting Obama, he seems to be the most inspiring. McCain's policies are just like Bush, the more greedy and corrupt wing of the Republican party, but only more wiser. And Hilary gives off this nasty vibe.

I find Obama and his speeches extremely irritating, and since he's likely to be the Dem's pick, I'm going with McCain.

"Even he isn't the most intelligent candidate, a good leader's policies are always rooted in his/her morals of altruism and/or beliefs."

Can you stand by this and explain it for me? I mean, are you actually saying that emotion and morality are more important in a leader than intelligence? (I'm really not trying to attack, and I'm sorry if it comes off that way. I'm genuinely interested to hear you back this up because no one has ever been able to do so for me).

I don't see Obama as inspiring at all. Frankly, I see him as a politically-cautious man with an agenda and the charisma to make it seem like he actually has meaningful credentials. Fixing traffic tickets and then voting "present" on more controversial votes doesn't impress me. And, on a substantial note, Obama's policies on education are quick-fix and poorly thought-out.

I like Hillary. At least she's got the chutzpah that Obama lacks. She may be corrupt and unethical, but hey, nothing would ever get done in Congress if somebody wasn't there to deal the low blows. Too bad the press has already crucified her to the point where only Saint Barack stands a chance now.

Hillary talks better.. but Obama is associated with the upper class. And they're all hating on Jeremiah Wright, who I kind of like.

So I don't really care.

I'm voting for myself in 2008. Long shot I know. Lolz.
