<p>Rice has been steadily growing on me for the past year, but it wasn't until recently that I decided that Rice is absolutely the perfect school for me. Anyway, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to send Rice a letter (e-mail?) expressing that its my first choice. Or would that be too much/pointless/just more work for the admissions officers?</p>

<p>I would think that Rice would’ve expected you to apply ED if it truly was your first choice. But I’m sure you could probably sneak that fact somewhere into your essay or the paragraphs Rice requires you to write in the supplements. Not sure if shooting a separate email would help though, because in general, how does Rice know you aren’t sending a similar email to every college you apply to? I don’t know, maybe I’m overthinking.</p>
