I'm in the midst of writing a letter to my top choice school. I know it says to update them on recent accomplishments, but nothing major has happened. I've gotten all b's?? but that isnt something i should flaunt. What else can i say that is good? I'm in dire need of any help! Advice is greatly appreciated and if you want to read my letter and tweak it that would be good too! Unfortunately i'm not getting much help with my family due to the fact that we are in the middle of multiple family crisis's, so my college admission is the last thing on their mind...

rsdx, is this the same college at which you secured an interview for Wednesday? And is that college Fairfield? Just trying to make sense of the scattershot threads. I'd suggest you get your high school counselor on your side to follow up with each college about why you were waitlisted. Once you know that, you might know what kind of updates would help get you admitted (additional recs? higher second semester grades? one more round of testing? ... whatever).

And you do have a backup plan, right? Like admission to an in-state academic/financial safety? If not, I'd get an application in right away. Good luck!

I got into High Point University, which was my safety, but due to family problems, my family strongly does not want me to go there and neither do i. is it still possible to apply to rolling admission schools?
