I got a letter from NYU saying that decision will be out soon and they are considering all CAS applicants for scholarship..if you are semi to final merit award you can to fax them a copy..

Is this a good sign..or does this mean that i'm rejected?

wait, so are only kids who are national merit finalists are getting this letter, and do you think this letter goes out to everyone?
gaia87- have you been invited to Sunday at Square , also what are your stats?

i was just wondering if this was just a standard procedure for every applicant..jeez what's wrong with you..it didn't say i'm elligible for scholarship..it said they need us to fax national merit papers to them...

what's wrong with me? the sadness that befalls on me when I find out people who ask ridiculous questions get admitted to the university I am attending.

then how do you explain the fact that one of my friends got invited to the CAS reception for admitted students? he got the same letter. Gaia: i think this letter goes out to everyone. And NYU2o1o, either you really dont know what you are talkin about or you write this kind of stuff on purpose. Either way is not cool.

i got this letter to. and i was thoroughly confused because i am a national merit commended student and about 90% of the letter was about being a finalist and the urban something or other.

does anyone know if this is a 'likely' letter or does it go out to all applicants?

This letter has not shown up at our house and dd is NMF. She sent them a letter informing them of this. But maybe she should fax the official NMF letter, too???

I received that same letter last year, and am currently at NYU in CAS. One of my friends who also applied to CAS did not receive that letter. So I am not exactly sure if everyone received one this year or whatnot.

Yeah. And in our case, DD is a NNF, so we hope that getting the fax at 9PM Weds is considered to be getting it Weds.

p.s. Another odd thing is that it was the second piece of mail this week to arrive looking like it was dropped in a puddle and then dried out -- and both were mail from colleges.
