Well thanks guys for your advice, if anyone of yall are free to read my revised Letter please tell me so i can PM it to you, i made obvious changes. TY

pierrechn, how can you insist “not a likely they will admit”. Despite the lack of punctuation, this seems like a strong statement from someone not in control of the admission decision.

Over and over, I get the impression that pierrechn just shoots from the hip in posting responses. I wouldn’t take anything he says seriously. (I have restrained from posting this statement previously, but I can’t stand it anymore.)

A big thank you, MaineLonghorn, for the backup. I finally gave in to my irritation because of concern that he was misleading/misinforming people just for something to say. (Not to mention the “their/there/they’re” issue…)

Thanks guys
I have taken most of your comments and implemented them in my letter, but it’s not there just yet!

Please if you would like to read my edited letter tell me! I would gladly PM it to you! :)

You’re welcome, VailsMom. The “ignore” option comes in handy occasionally!

I agree with both MaineLonghorn and VailsMom. Pierrechn needs to stop posting about things he/she does not know about. It is bordering on ■■■■■■■■, IMO.

I tried the appeal route as well after hearing from someone in the mechanical engineering department that they accepted top 6% and lower. After last semester I moved to top 5%. Unfortunately, my appeal was denied.

I wish you the best of luck though.

ha lol i need to stop typing fast, i always add something extra by accident lol

you people are smart here, i would assume you knew what i was trying to put

Hmm…if you were to appeal…I figure moving up two places in your rank wouldn’t be very impressive. Anyone know about the Terry Scholarship though? If I were to get that would that be worth mentioning and would it be impressive to them? I’m not sure if I should write an appeal letter with only that. Just wondering if any of you think it’s worth it. Not sure how much prestige the Terry Foundation holds and stuff.

OP, just ignore this ■■■■■ (pierrechn).

You add absolutely nothing to the discussion. The funniest thing is that you post so authoritatively despite having little to zero knowledge of, well, any subject I’ve seen discussed on this forum (and when instructed on how to find information, can’t follow instructions to do so). Why bother?
