I talked to my liason officer today and he told me I have a very strong file and we set up a date for an interview. He said after the interview I might be able to get a letter of assurance. I haven't submitted my applications for my nominations from my members of congress, but I should be ready to do so in the next couple days. Would it be better if I waited to see if I got a letter of assurance or just send in my applications as soon as possible. If it is best to send in my application, would it benefit me to send them a copy of the letter of assurance, or is that something they have access to? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you receive an LOA, your MOC will be notified. Additionally, you can send a copy of it to the MOC to update your file. Finally, when you go for the interview, you can bring a copy of it if you did not send it. My son received his LOA about a week before the interview. He called the MOC assistant, who said just to bring it to the interview. Send your application ASAP.
