Letter of rec from a sophomore year teacher?

I've asked for one letter from my favorite (english) teacher that I've had four classes with, but I'm at a loss to find a teacher to write my second one. I know it should be a math/science teacher but I haven't taken math at my high school since sophomore year (took classes at a local college instead). That leaves science teachers: I could ask my sophomore year bio teacher for a letter, but, again, colleges frown upon that. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience with my junior year chem teacher and she's not the approachable type so I definitely don't feel comfortable asking her for a letter. My school is on the semester/excel system, so I don't have a math or science class this semester (other than econ, which could work?) and the next semester starts a month after the deadline to turn in apps. Does anyone have advice? Thanks!

If it’s a college teacher, go for it! He/she will really be able to demonstrate your aptitude for learning.

I would use econ if you can. Could you get a letter from one of the college professors?
