Will AP Computer Science teacher be an good choice of recommender? Is he considered a science teacher or elective teacher? Applying as Engineering major.

Yes, AP Comp Sci teacher is a good choice for a recommendation. If your school lists comp sci as a math course, you should be able to pass him off as a math/science recommender.

I was hoping it can be a science teacher recommendation since it has a "science " I the name of the course.

No. They are looking for biology, chemistry, etc. They are also looking for traditional math classes.

When in doubt, call admissions. But you don’t want to hurt your chances by trying to play with semantics. They are looking for academic strengths in traditional/core courses. That’s why homeschooled kids are asked to provide math and science subject test results - to prove mastery in the material. Send the computer science recommendation as an extra if it is allowed. But not as a substitute for a core class.
