letters of rec

After I sent my app, I promised myself I wouldn't read my recs until after the mid-year report was sent so that I wouldn't hate a teacher or somethign like that. Well, the time has come.

I don't like my recs, my AP Bio/AP Chem teacher had like 10 misspelled words.....will this reflect on me? or him? will the adcom simply disregard the letter since obviously he wasn't focused? I got an A in both classes and good test results. This worries me.

My rec from my AP english teacher gave a heart attack, SHE ONLY SENT A LETTER!!! SHE DIDN'T SEND THE FORM!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Will the adcome find it and place it in my folder?!?!!? It says on the online status that I have my teacher recs, but I'm not sure if this means they've received all 3 (I requested another one.)

Like I said, I requested a third teacher rec, and the guy insisted that he had to mail it out himself. Hopefully it's good....

Also, my GC mentioned a bunch of clubs, but failed to mention that I was President of most of them. Will the adcom think I "embellished"?!?!?!?!? I AM SOOOOOOO WORRIED that they'll automatically think I was lying (I wasn't) and won't even call my GC. Will they do this? Should I call Harvard myself? If I call, will they get suspecious?

help me!!!!!

1) I think the form said that a teacher could write a letter instead of filling out the form--you're probably fine.

2) I don't think Harvard will think you've "embellished" if your guidance counselor didn't mention leadership positions. To the best of my memory, I don't think mine did either.

I think if you call, you'll seem really high-strung, but that's just my opinion, so do what you like. Good luck! :)

Yeah, that's why I didn't even bother to touch my recs...
Anyway, I wounldn't worry too much about recs--they won't be read by English teachers.

none of your recommendation concerns look fatal...you should be ok
