i am applying to a summer program that requires 3 letters of rec. in my high school, the teachers would submit the letters to the counseling office. from there, my counselor will pick the best letters in my file. is there a central letters of rec station like the one in my high school? explain how letters of rec works at the ucla college. or would the professor/mentor hafta send it directly to the office of the summer program? thanks!

It depends on the program. Some programs will want your professors/mentors to submit a letter online. Others will request that you send a package with all the required materials i.e. application, transcript, letters of recommendation, etc. Check with the program on how your letters should be submitted.

However, you can have you could also use the [Career Center’s Letters of Reference Services](http://career.ucla.edu/LOR/), but that’s for graduate and professional school purposes.
