Letters of Recommendation Before Application

If my teachers send their letters of recommendation before my applications are submitted, does that cause a problem? I already have a Common Application ID number and an ID number for a school that is not a Common App school. If the letters include the ID numbers, can I assume they will be filed properly?

It’s not a problem, the components of your application can come in any order as long as they’re properly labeled. With your name and the ID number there won’t be any problem.

“id number”? is that only applicable if the teachers are submitting recs by snail mail? what about doing it online?

If you don’t have an ID number, make sure your name appears on LORs exactly the same as on your application and give them your date of birth to be extra sure.

wait so do I have to worry about any of that if the recommendations are being done by teachers online?
