Letters of Recommendation -Common App

Hey Guys,
I got a letter of recommendation from my schools dean as well as a district head.
What do they qualify as? The district head used to be my teacher by the way. Should i just get a teacher to do them instead? Wouldn't having a letter of rec from the dean be impressive?

Oh and I also got one from my counselor.

Unless a school states differently, this is what the CA states on the Teacher Eval form:

So, the district head would be OK as a Teacher LOR if they taught you in an academic subject, but the dean would have to be a supplemental.

What’s impressive is what is said about you, not who wrote the LOR.

Yes the district head was my teacher last year - she just got promoted. I will get another teacher to write me a letter of recommendation. Since the common app sends the people emails for their LOR, what should I tell my Dean? Can he send the LOR without the special email from the common app? Thank you for the fast reply!

Since it’s a supplemental, your Dean will send a hard copy LOR, they can’t upload to the CA like for your teacher and GC LORs.

Alright makes sense
