Letters of recommendation two math/science teachers?

Hi, I’m a current high school senior applying to colleges soon. At the end of junior year, I asked my math teacher and chemistry teacher (junior year teachers) for letters of recommendation. However, I know that the general suggestion is to ask one humanities teacher and one math/science teacher. I just felt like my math and science teachers knew me better. Although I did well in my humanities classes, I felt like I did not show interest and did not know the teachers very well. Will this hurt me in the college application process? None of the colleges that I’m applying to specifically request one humanities teacher and one science/math teacher. Also, I am definitely planning to study science in college, and will be applying as a biochem major.

It shouldn’t make a difference (I had the same back when I applied, my geosystems and precalc/CS teachers).

I think go with the math and science teacher as they know you best. You don’t want a bad rec letter from a humanities teacher to hurt your app.

I think that an English teacher is better. Humanities teachers are usually not that important.

@Iamsobusynow Well I mean humanities as in English/language/anything other than math or science that is a core subject.

@rdeng2614 Do you think having one math rec and one science rec would hurt my app?

I think that having 2 good recs from math/science is better than having 1 good and 1 bad rec from 2 different disciplines.
