I'm applying to Columbia SEAS and I sent in recommendations from my Physics and English teachers. Is this fine? Or should I have sent both recos from science teachers?

You should be fine. I think only one has to be from a science teacher.

There are different requirements for CC and SEAS. According to the Application Instructions on the online app...

Please note that these must be teachers who taught you in an academic discipline and that, if you are applying to SEAS, Teacher Report A must come from your mathematics teacher.

Was just about to post the same as the person above. A should be Math. B doesn't matter.

^ I think they're not strict about that issue

Physics is a form of applied math anyways.

wait. I totally did not see the math thing for SEAS. I sent in chem and history and got a likely letter, so I guess it's not that strict?

Chem is math-y. They probably just don't want people to send in a rec from like your art teacher and your PE teacher who love you.

Lots of accepted kids here have reported having a science teacher do the math rec. I think this is right:
