Hi all,

I'll be graduating in May 2014 and am looking for full-time employment. I've had two internship experiences, the most recent being at a very reputable global company (Company A). Their internship program is a pipe-line for their graduate program, which I would like to be a part of. I performed very well during my internship and my boss even recommended me for a position in the graduate program but I haven't heard anything back from them even though my internship ended early August and they said I would know by end of September. However, two of the four interns in my group have already received their offer.

In the mean time, I've been doing a lot of interviews and received an amazing offer from Company B (another reputable global company). They've given me a couple weeks to decide whether or not take their offer. Now this company is only 3 hours away from my home city (Company A is here in home city as well) which is where I would prefer to live. The chances of me getting an offer from Company A seem very slim now. I e-mailed a recruiter at Company A about 10 days ago and never heard back. I'm assuming I'm not their first choice but also not completely rejected yet.

Would it be a good idea to call Company A and tell them that I have an offer from Company B and was hoping to have a response from them as to whether or not I was selected for their graduate program and would need to know as soon as possible so I can make the right decision for myself?
