LGBTQ Life at Emory?

Emory is both my top choice and, by far, the largest school I’m looking at (of many liberal arts schools, like Kenyon). One of the many reasons I’m interested (other than academics obviously) is because of how liberal or at least diverse the community is, despite being in Georgia. I’m wondering how satisfied LGBT students on campus are? Specifically, I already know that Emory is an open place, people don’t really care about sexuality, all that… but I’d really be thankful if someone could tell me how big the LGBT population is? Is there a large dating-pool? If I go will there be like three other LGBT people there I’ll see all the time or nah?

Thanks for your help!

I don’t know how one would gauge that…but apparently it is supposed to be decently sized, especially if you are a gay male. Some students claim to have come here (and to Atlanta) for that reason. I don’t actually know, here is this website though. Look and see if you judge anything from there: http://www.lgbt.emory.edu/
