Does anyone here know if there are many or any LGBTQ students at boarding schools, specifically Exeter and Andover? As a (hopefully) incoming 10th grade repeat (as well as being pansexual but more towards the lesbian side of the spectrum) I was just kind of interested in what kind of people were out there. Thank you!

Here’s a thread about the atmosphere at a few different boarding schools.

Andover and Exeter are usually thought to be the most accepting of boarding schools. Both schools have a student body of around 1000 - 1100 so you’ll find a large variety of students at both schools. You’ll definitely be in good company at either school.

You can message TomTheCat if you have any specific questions about the climate at Andover. He was a member of the gay-straight alliance and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind answering any questions you may have.

Thank you 2010 hopeful!
