Liberal Arts and Art in the south (Exkerd et al.)

Can anyone tell me something about the art program at Eckerd. We went to an orientation about the school and asked about the program. They told us to check out the faculty and the student artweork on the website. Nothing was there. We were really interested in the atmosphere and philosophy of Exkerd, but want to know about their art program (and psychology too actually.) Also, do you have any other recommendations for Art programs at liberal art college in the southeast (actually from Maryland on down!) Thanks!

I tried to put a link but it won't work for some reason. The info is on their website, just a little hard to find. Go to their website and do a search for art faculty and it will take you to the right place to see work, etc.
Hope this helps ...I don't know why my cut and paste link won't show. Sorry.
After you do the search choose the first option that comes up.

NYMIZ - I really don't about the art program at Eckerd - sorry - tho we also looked at that school - very interesting philosophy there - and also some rather cool things that we saw when we were there - they were wonderful to talk to and very open minded. I do know one student that did graduate there with a minor in psych - he loved it - but did mention one thing that was a bit of a hassle - getting around - he strongly recommended that students have a car there - especially after freshman year. They are very strong supporters of study abroad - the more the better and are pretty creative as far as majors as well. On our tour we noticed that just about every single dorm room in every pod had water shoes outside the door ;)

I understand that East Carolina does have a pretty good art program - one of my DD's best friends actually transferred there form UNC-CH because of the differences in philosophies between the 2 schools. I have attended several art presentations at ECU and was pretty darned impressed with what I saw there. Even tho it is a big school - it certainly has alot to offer.

My gal just moved back to New England from Greenville, NC after 4.5 years - she really liked it at ECU - loved the weather -most of the time LOL. Eckerd was initially on her list - when we were doing the school search - actually came in at #4 - behind ECU, CofC and UNC-Wilmington.
