<p>Any info regarding the quality of the School of Liberal Arts, particularly the English and Econ programs?</p>
<p>My junior D is an English major, and has had universally superb professors and classes. They go out of their way for students- just one (of many) examples: one English prof that she ad taken a class from as a sophomore was so good that she took her again this year for another class. The prof remembered her prior work, and took her aside to give her different assignments to complement what she knew she would enjoy given the material she had had last year. I don’t know much about Econ, but English has some real stars for profs.</p>
<p>The economics program is well regarded. I know of someone who made 85k off the bat, straight out of school.</p>

<p>KC and galwaymom- when do kids declare their major w/i the LA school?</p>
<p>Anyone else? Any ideas on how quantitative the econ program is?</p>
