Hey so I applied under graphic communications, but it’s hard to tell how tough this major is to get accepted into since they only provide the whole college average, which in the case of liberal arts is a 3.78 gpa 1200 sat, so I was wondering if you could tell me what are some of the impacted majors in the liberal arts college that would possibly bring the average up.

here are some I figured are impacted I could be wrong though

Psychology is likely way up there with English, as well as probably Liberal Studies (Education) and Child Development. I frankly have never heard anything about GrC from anyone, and it is nowhere near the top of a list of popular majors I saw once.

My advice is to not worry. I applied for GrC just like you, and there’s nothing left to do. The application’s in, and - I dunno if you applied ED - notification’s coming soon. Several teachers that I trust have told me I have a great shot, even with my so-so stats. And just seeing the numbers of arch. and engineering applicants just here on CC should tell you that GrC is not primarily what kids are looking to study at SLO. Not saying it’s a bad program in any way - it looks amazing to me - just that of the 41,000 applications that went in, I guarantee you that well over half were for arch./engineering/business. So, no point in worrying too much. Just relax! ;)

3.5 CSU GPA, 1220 SAT. Maximum hours for extracurriculars, minimum work hours, related to my course of study (I’m an amateur photographer). Four years of marching band, AVID student, newspaper editor (I slipped in the editor part under Non A-G courses, haha). That’s about all I’d imagine they’ll look at.
