As a hardcore libertarian, I don't want to go to a school whose overall political climate is terribly contrary to my political ideology...

I want an environment that is centered on the same values and ideologies as I hold, for I think that it will make for a more fulfilling experience.

Don't rule out that your political ideology often shifts as you age and change. Also, an educational experience that is homogeneous will probably feel LESS fulfilling, not more. Be brave. The real world isn't 100% anything. :)

Penn ain't too shabby. Wharton's huntsman hall is like a giant, vaguely phallic talisman that keeps the socialists at bay. I have yet to have a professor who is a blame-america-first type (well okay, there was one in the anthro dept but that's basically their job)

The only socialists are the grad students. Poor bastards.

I attend Rice University, and I'm shocked to find that probably about a quarter or more of the people I meet affiliate themselves with the Libertarian Party or sympathize with Libertarian causes. We also have a strong poli sci program.
