how late is it? There is a 4 day grace period where there is no charge for standard loans…

Standard Loans (3 days or more):
There is a four-day grace period. On the fifth day the charge will be $2.50.
1-20 days overdue $.50/day
21 days overdue $25 billing charge, non-refundable, plus a replacement cost ($150 or more)

Reserve Materials and loans of less than 3 days:
1st hour overdue $2.50
2nd hour to 56th hour overdue $.50/hour
57+ hours overdue $30 billing charge, non-refundable, plus a replacement cost ($150 or more)

Thanks Travelgirl. I didn’t pay anything :)

your welcome.

(I only knew of the answer because I was in your exact same position a few quarters ago! Now I don’t really stress about returning books on time if I really need to keep them a few days late :)

its good to know, but still disappointing that you cannot renew a book from other libraries especially if the books are the primary sources of your research! lets not talk about the waiting time (took over a month to get a book).
