Hi I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I applied to several uc's but I would only go to UCLA among them. I applied to PoliSci tap certified with a 4.0.
I chose not to put any of my prior coursework at other 2 other community colleges before this one, because I never dropped classes and received many "F"s. I never applied for financial aid at these schools. My question is do they always find out about prior coursework you dont report..??

did anyone get in ommiting old work or know anybody who did?
Thank you for any responses!

wow, i have never seen such a question asked. they asked for prior schools and you initialed the application saying that everything is true. when they find out, they might kick you out. i think.

Yeah, even with those F's you had better update your info and give them your real GPA as the one you sent in is false and they will terminate your acceptance when they find out. You need to provide them with ALL of your coursework.

In all seriousness you my friend are a scum bag. You are trying to take a spot from a qualified applicant with your lies.

So here's how it will go:
1) They can do a system wide search based on your social. Whereupon they'll see ALL of your previous coursework, and thus your lie will be exposed.

2) It is my hope that one of the schools rep's will see this thread (UCD Admissions), and hopefully make note to be on the lookout for anyone submitting previously unreported grades with "many F's" (how many of these folks could there be? 10 tops) and ties your post to your application. Since you've essentially confessed to your misdeeds, it should be easy to revoke your application.

Here's hoping you fail in ALL of your future endeavors. :D

Is a 'W' really that bad? I'm currently in high school but I took a Business Stats class last summer to boost my high school GPA (not my CC GPA as I didn't plan on going to one at the time) before dropping out and I was told by the counselor that I would receive a 'W' because I passed the deadline for dropping classes. Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread.

Really? I thought I heard that a 'W' doesn't exactly look good on your application but it won't affect your GPA and that if you have two or less that it is OK. Wow, this really sucks for me then, huh?

But seriously, look into submitting an Academic Renewal form to your 'secret' college and ask for how many terms you can wipe off your record (not really wipe, but won't count toward GPA calculation).

It sure sounded cool to say you had a 4.0, but the truth always has a way of coming forward.

um wow...gosh everyone makes mistakes. for your sake fix your mistake =)

I would hardly call this a "mistake". Malikat knowingly submitted fraudulent info. With the sole purpose of taking away a position from a qualified applicant. I don't know about you, but i haven't been working for the last two and a half years struggling with bills/school/etc. for someone to just come around and make a mockery of what I've been working toward all this time.

he also mentions in his first post that UCLA is the only UC that he is willing to go to. Either this guy is hot stuff or just full of himself <-- this is based on his previous academic achievement (or lack thereof).
