Life is beautiful

Life is beautiful for one reason, that fact that you can be anything in the world. The diction ''impossible'', the meaning itself does not exist. Don't let others or their taunts and actions affect you. Be firm, and know that your true, best quality is perseverance. Let this attribute reign over anything.

This has nothing to do with your post, but the film Life Is Beautiful with Roberto Benigni is enlightening and funny and poignant...anyway...

Okay, dude. We do not care.

This is false. "You can be anything you want to be" = illusion.

But don't get me wrong; life is pretty sweet.

There's some truth to it though.

You can try to be anything you want to be.

Life is beautiful because it contains NetHack.

Sure it does. It's impossible for a vessel to move faster than the speed of light. It's impossible to go back in time due to the aforementioned. It's impossible for a lazy and unmotivated person to land a six-figure job for more than 2 years.

In the words of R. Kelly, I believe I can fly. (jk, I just had to)

Life's pretty sweet, even though at times it's equally sucky. That's as much philosophical pondering about life you'll get out of me.

"Astride of a grave and a difficult birth. Down in the hole, lingeringly, the gravedigger puts on the forceps. We have time to grow old. The air is full of our cries."

-Samuel Beckett, Waiting For Godot

This is the most ridiculously corny and untrue post I've seen in...like, ever.

I'm sure that as a relatively privileged, educated teenager who has the time to make 900 posts on an elite college website, life seems pretty sweet. I'm sure you'd like to tell everybody that they can be whatever they want.

Unfortunately, there are millions upon millions of starving, illiterate men and women all over the globe who work twice as hard as you just to feed their kids who would beg to differ.

Young or old, rich or poor, worldly or ignorant, it doesn't matter. We're all damned to live a life devoid of meaning, groping in the darkness for answers to questions that don't exist, distracting ourself from the horror of our condition with futile pursuits, and then die, our dust as our only legacy.

Existentialism predates emo by at least fifty years, bud.

Certain aspects of life are beautiful. Overall, it sucks.
