Impossible is a strong word that can drive an individual to bring out the best of their abilities in order to prove the naysayers wrong. Impossible is my favorite word because of the meaning behind it. An idealist will accomplish more in life because of their ability to up bring their best abilities in certain situations. Impossible to me is nothing and nobody can tell me a task is impossible without me proving them wrong. It is a powerful word that has been carelessly said to powerful individuals who use it as fuel for their inner confidence.

I have been told certain tasks are impossible, and this brings about an explosion of excitement to work hard to prove somebody wrong. Just as Hernan Cortes was told it would be impossible to conqueror the Aztecs, I was told it would be impossible to conqueror the game of tennis because of my physical features. This was the fuel I longed for, and that one word impossible created the fire within me to prove them wrong. I would go on to play varsity tennis and would never forget those certain coaches and people who put me down and said I couldn't. People have told me time and time again that certain tasks were out of reach, and would cause me to go bring out the best in me to prove to them that I could. I am a person who leads and forms his own path rather than following an already made path. I enjoy to be told certain things are out of reach because this extends my ability to display my passion and zeal inside of me to prove that impossible is nothing.

Reading your essay, I felt almost every sentence said the similar thing. Try telling one story of how you overcame your physique and now play varsity tennis (challenging what others perceived to be impossible). I suggest showcasing your strengths in a humble manner. Humble is a trait most colleges prefer in their student body.

Good luck! : )

This was the fuel I longed for, and that one word impossible created the fire within me to prove them wrong. Using their negative statements as fuel, I would go out onto the tennis court everyday and passionately work as hard as I could to prove that impossible was nothing. I would go on to play varsity tennis and would never forget those certain coaches and people who put me down and said I couldn’t.

People have told me time and time again that certain tasks were out of reach; and just as I did by working as hard as I could to disprove their theory of me playing tennis at a high level, I would constantly let them observe me disprove their childish response. I am a person who leads and forms his own path rather than follow an already made path. I enjoy to be told certain things are out of reach because this extends my ability to display my passion and zeal inside of me to prove that impossible is nothing.
