<p>Does anyone know the ISBN number for LIFESCI 1 EVOLUTN & ECOL & BIODIV with Professor Pires? Is it just volume 2 of Biological Science by Scott Freeman or is it the entire textbook?</p>

The bookstore's price isn't that bad anyway since it comes with a SG and the ones you buy else where don't.</p>
<p>First off.... I love Pires. She's fantastic. She's intersting, but she does has one annoying repetitive habit... hopefully you won't notice as she does it under her breath. Her tests, however, I seemed to do really bad on. Her online weekly quizzes kind of stink, but just make a group of classmates and take it together. I ended up with a B in the class... which isn't so bad, as I never went to lab. Haha. Bad, bad, bad me.</p>
<p>I actually have the book. You'll never use the book again, which kind of stinks, as Pires was the only LifeSci teacher to use it. Don't resell it to UCLA, it's a rip-off.</p>
<p>It is only volume 2, don't go buying the whole book, as you won't read more than half of it. The study guide is okay... but only if you feel like taking more quizzes. I never touched it once when I took the class.</p>

<p>Well, I'm pretty much limited in terms of what I can take this quarter. Can't take math cuz I have all the credits for it already. I'm not touching physics first year. I can't take chem 14A cuz I have chem 20 A credit, but I wanna retake chem 20 A since it been ahile, and that class is full this quarter. With regards to GEs, I need just one more class + foregin language requirement, but I don't wanna take foriegn language this year. So I'm leaning towards sticking with L1...</p>
<p>you need the entire LS series including LS1 if you're a premed...it's part of med school requirements</p>
<p>i've heard both things.. but i thought premed is 1 year of bio. so ls2, 3, 4 = 1 year of bio.</p>
