<p>Your odds are alright if you ask for one, but it's totally all a crapshoot in terms of where you get assigned (I remember lots of stories in which people who requested singles got doubles, and vice-versa- tbh I doubt they even really read the room request forms). But I'm sure if you want a single, requesting one anyway is the way to go (they might actually read them this year or something)
It'd be great if you could request Dickson, cuz it's like 95% singles... alas. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best, and try not to worry about it too much until you get to Cornell.</p>
<p>Not sure about GT because most upperclassmen prefer singles - but there are a plethora of singles for freshmen.</p>
