if my alternate major was undecided in engineering but my first choice major was not engineer, should i be worried if i didn’t receive the likely letter?

If your first choice was a major in Letters and Science, HSSEAS is not sent your application. The colleges within UCLA review applications separately.

Has anyone from the Bioengineering major recevied the likely letter as well?

@NorthCAMom yes

Computer Science… nothing.

with regard to darthpwner’s question. i also received a likely letter and wanna get into cals engineering program. but berkeley engineering is extremely competitive compared to ucla engineering. so i feel like getting a likely letter from ucla is really no guarantee of admission into cal engineering

You’re probably right. You can’t take this letter to mean anything to anyone else but UCLA. There is a large selectivity gap between Cal and LA engineering, so I suppose a likely from LA could mean you’re on the right track for Cal, but it’s far from a guarantee, let alone a hint at anything favorable from Berkeley.
