Did anyone get a likely letter today? My son got one. Obviously, we are thrilled. I was surprised they started sending them so early.

Congrats. Did you get a call too, or just a letter in the mail?

Letter in the mail…

You’re a junior in HS with a kid :O?

Are you an athlete?

Not an athlete. He submitted his app pretty early - mid November. That may have helped.

I received one as well! I’m ecstatic right now! Also, I did get it in the mail and I am not an athlete. I sent in my app very late, around January 6th. I actually wasn’t going to apply until they sent me the letter to apply. Thank God for that letter! I feel so blessed rigt now. Congrats to the OP too!

Son got one today as well. We are estatic.

sooo jealous :)

congrats guys!!! you’re all so lucky :D

How close to New Hampshire are those of you who received letters today? My S is a student there and packages/letters from us can take anywhere from two to five days to reach him.

Congrats everyone! A likely letter must take a lot of the stress off of the entire process.

You guys got me so excited that I actually ran to my mail box and I threw it open and guess what!!!

… My parents got their W2 for 2010 in the mail! YES! :)

OMG! I got my likely letter today! Im so happy. This made my week.
BTW I am not an athlete and I live in Houston, Texas.

I hope I can get in! AHHHH
congrats to everyone

Can those of you that got in post some information like when you applied, did you have an interview and your stats. I know every situation is different but it’s fun to compare and hope! Oh and congratulations to you all!

I got one today. I’m really, really excited. I’m kind of surprised because I submitted my app relatively late (Mid-december) and didn’t interview yet but this is really really exciting for me.

For the people above, I live pretty far from NH and am not an athlete.

I got one today too, soooo freaking excited! I’m not an athlete, live in CO, don’t really have any hooks (sorry, I feel very unhelpful!). Is this pretty much a guarantee? To be honest, I really, truly was not expecting to get in, so this entire thing is so surreal. My family and I are just so, so excited, I’d hate for it to not come through… Thanks and congrats/good luck to everyone else!

We live in New York. My son also has no hooks — he has a high gpa, good SAT scores, is a National Merit Semifinalist and decent extra-curriculars. I wish I could be more helpful…

SJMATHUR- I think it is a guarantee unless you fail a class, get arrested or plagiarize.
Congrats to you!!!

Can the likely letter recipients please briefly post their stats?

agree with mathematicism, when were the letters postdated?
congratulations to all those who received it.

I had a 2300, 36, and 4.0 as far as stats go.
