<p>ok, so i'm waiting to hear back from 5 schools: uc-berkeley, columbia, northwestern, harvard, and yale.
i've gotten NO likely letters. nada. nothing. rien. whatever you want to call it.
then again, my counselor JUST sent out my mid-years 2 weeks ago.
could that change anything?
i'm seriously flipping out because everybody seems to have gotten likely letters somewhere. am i going to get rejected everywhere????</p>

<p>Likely letters are not that common. I only got one from Wellesley because I applied for one, and I got some from the UCs because I live here. I wouldn't expect one from an Ivy unless I won some huge national competition, which I didn't. Be cool, man, it'll all be over soon.</p>

<p>very, very, very few people receive likely letters. don't stress about not getting one. only 9 more days, anyway.</p>
<p>haha i guess it just feels like everybody is getting them. i have a good friend who got one from cornell just this weekend so im like maybe maybe ill get one!!!
or maybe all the people on collegeconfidential are just hardcore overachievers who most ivy leagues would pay and beg to go to their schools lol</p>

<p>and you're right.. lots of people on CC are crazy smart and accomplished! it's not exactly a representative sample of the applicant pool to any college, that's for sure.</p>
<p>my friend was accepted EA to yale.. AND received a likely letter from duke, haha. jealous much? definitely! ;)</p>
