yeah that is strange. I hope it's just random and that they are sending them up to April 1. The more I think about it the more I feel like an idiot for saying it might be region-based just because of the randomness of whose been getting them. I also know a lot of current NYU students and they all scream at me for being nervous because they say the postcards mean nothing and that if you dont receive one that doesn't mean your not in. It's annoying to wait!!!!!!

i got one of these cards, for tisch. i live in south california.
i was really excited... but now i'm kind of skeptical. i need to see the big packet!

I believe it's random. One of my friends received the card about two weeks ago and another one received it Friday. They both go to the same school and live in the same town.

thanks cj. I was so worried that once people in my school recieved the cards then that was it for us. It just is so annoying to wait!

I heard from my mother yesterday that a girl I know got in. I am SO nervous now that I haven't heard anything yet. It's doubly frustrating that they don't have an online application status site.

Gah...maybe I'll hear something in the next few days.

It's amazing how frustrating it is to wait when you know that it'll all be over in such a short amount of time. It drags on forever!

Since they are sending out these invitations in waves, does that mean that EVERY student that is going to be accepted will be receiving an invite before April 1st?

crzy2rite, i was just wondering the same exact thing. the wait is so painful!

Yay, I received the letter too!!! YOOOHOOO!!! At this point in time (in the midst of the anguish from being waitlisted at two of my top schools), I am actually excited to even be accepted at a college (though not exactly my top, but I still love it!). Man, this surely makes my day.

YES!!!!!!

I just got an invitation in the mail today :)

I'm not sure where I stand on NYU, certainly one of my top choices but I just need to wait and see what else comes through. I'm VERY happy though :)

this is very very very frustrating! practically everyone is recieving these invitations...I can't possibly understand the logic behind who they send them to. I at first thought it was based on grades but I doubt that now after seeing who got them in my school. Also, it can't be based on region because people in my school have been getting them randomly. It's just so hard to figure out any reasoning as to who gets these things...unless of course your rejected. waiting is the worst experience ever!

Maybe you are trying to find logic in a process that is random??

Got mine today for CAS!

DM290
-Maybe it's sent in the order they reviewed the applications?

I got into CAS today! I'm in Tampa if anyone is curious.

yeah that makes sense to me. I called today and the guy was just like I know how you feel and how all we have to do is just wait. And as "gurl" said...it's all VERY VERY random. I don't know it's just so annoying and when it comes down to it, it's easy to forget that the whole thing is in fact just random waves.

and congrats on CAS guys!!
