limits due to SAT

Hey,

As you may have inferred, I need some advice. After reading some of the latest posts, I feel like im in quicksand and going no where fast (is it just me or is everyone except me ridiculously smart?!?!). It's probably just me but...

What schools shouldn't I realistically apply on the basis of my SAT score (2210, 800M, 710V, 700/11W)?

If you need more info, I'm 1/300, perfect gpa, hardest course load, great summer medical internship at the world renowned cleveland clinic cardiology dept, good EC's with a varisty sport, no community service (yet), good recs, good essay (hoping).

I'm thinking that my SAT is the thing thats holding me back from being accepted at the prestigious schools. I want to go into medicine so I probably shouldn't worry too much about undergrad, but I really want to go to the best possible college I can get into.

Well, if you have something insightful to say, please post.

Apply for Ivies (or other schools with the same prestige). I can't say for sure which ones you'll get into, but you'll get into at least one.

That is a good SAT.

ummm, i dont understand how a 2210 could ever be seen as a negative. If that's the worst part of your application, youre in great shape, thas like top 1%, stop being crazy

Think about it this way, what would your score have been before the new SAT? It would have been a 1510... Is that a bad score to you? What is the 700/11W? I'm not sure what a good score for the writing section is, but many colleges will take the highest score of each test you take. If you want to retake the two sections you could end up with a higher total SAT score that they will consider.

Your SAT score is fine...nothing below 700...I'd worry more about volunteer service, but you seem like an excellent applicant that will attend an excellent college...gl and enjoy summer.
