Link about Financial Aid/IDOC

<p>My D (deferred ED) received a financial aid link the other day through her email. She was also notified from IDOC that Dartmouth requested financials. The next day she received another email with her ID and PIN (same one from Dec.) Her hopes are up again--I'm trying to keep her grounded because she has just started to really like her 2nd choice, and 3,4,5,6 choices. She's been admitted to 2 safties.</p>

<p>Does IDOC collect financials for everyone? This question is posted on different sites, but the answers seem specific to the various colleges. The next couple of weeks are going to be tough...</p>

<p>I think they want IDOC from everyone.
I (RD) sent my IDOC a week and a half ago.</p>

<p>But all those e-mails and such look good! The fact that they're still communicating with your daughter may mean something..</p>

<p>Yes, the IDOC collects financials for everyone. Remember it is just the college board's clearing house as they take all of the information (tax forms, w-2. etc), they scan it in and send it to Dartmouth as electronic files, so then Dartmouth would only have to key in a number to pull up the information.</p>

<p>I know it is going to be a rough few weeks waiting but hang in there.</p>
