<p>Lets start a list of all the BA/MD programs (6, 7, 8 years) that have been canceled due to the current economic collapse.</p>
<p>The only canceled one I know is the NYU one which terminated their BS/MD program about 3 years ago. However, it had nothing to do with the economy. It was because most students who had early acceptance decided to apply out of the Program anyway.</p>
<p>MSU’s is canceled. They accepted their last batch two years ago (class of 08)</p>
<p>over the past years i know some programs have increased their lengths
for example the penn state program used to be 5 years many years ago - now it’s a 6/7 year program
the RPI program also used to be 6 years</p>
<p>I don’t think the recent economic downturn is responsible for the closing of any programs though</p>
<p>Partly. most colleges are just using it as an excuse it seems…</p>
<p>So there are programs that have been canceled in the past few months… a lot of posters have been talking about on this forum. So lets start a list!</p>
<p>Miami University and University of Dayton with Cinci College of Medicine are cancelled. Cinci still has UG portion of program ( I am not sure how many spots, 10 or more). Miami and Dayton accepted last bunch Freshmen into combined program this year.</p>
<p>the university of wisconsin-madison stopped their program</p>
<p>vanderbilt ENGAGE was discontinued last year</p>
