List of Changes in Common App(for transfers)

Hey guys!
Ok so here are the changes in Commonapp for transfer students.

Website model(login screen, dashboard, etc..)
i could care less so lets move on to the next.

Supplement
Alright, so the freshman applicants can already see their supplement essays but transfers cannot see supplements.
OK, but supplements will be updated by colleges, so lets just wait.

No GPA/SAT score on commonapp
Theres no section for GPA, SAT, and SATII score whatsoever on commonapp.
Wait.. wth?

No financial aid (yes/no) questions
No indication of financial aid now.
Sorry guys, U.S. colleges ran out of money.
I'm guessing these will be on college supplements.

5.No activities essay
No more extracurricular(a.k.a fiction) activities essay
They finally figured out that half the people were bsing

6.Common app transfer essay extended to 650words(max)
title explains it all

Changes(#2~4) will most likely be fixed.
The rest is permanent.

Good luck guys!

I also didn’t see where to assign recommenders/HS counsellor or get the printed HS forms.

There is a section for SAT/SAT2/AP scores but I don’t remember seeing GPA. Looks like they got rid of self reporting GPA.

And that extracurricular essay lol. It was obvious that some people were stretching the truth.

Common App is very open to suggestions if you contact them. Worst case, they will explain their rationale for things that are different/absent. In addition, they published (yesterday) a list of colleges that have completed their supplements for first year applicants. I noted that transfer supplements were, by and large, absent. The short answer extracurricular essay is included on many colleges supplement now, instead of being included in the general Common Application.
