List of Perpetual CC Comments

you need to look up the urban dictionary definition of college confidential! it is unfortunately true in many cases… :(

OOh, I just learned from blueiguana how to make virtual smilies! Who says CC is a waste of time for grown-ups! :)

Yet another classic CC thread for your reading enjoyment:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1204726-800-8th-grade.html</a></p>

I was once telling a friend that someone’s D “fell in with the wrong crowd.” My friend said, “Why do people never think that *their *kid is ‘the wrong crowd’?”

I am guilty of having told posters to do a search, but I usually do it by posting the resulting link. IMO, if they want current thinking or a specific angle then they can state they already have searched and are looking for…

What drives me up a wall are posters who ask the most basic questions which can be answered on a school’s site. “Does anyone know if Stanford uses EA”? It’s right there. You can google Stanford EA and get the answer channeled right to you. Instead there seems to be a group of posters that want all their info spoonfed to them. Not to mention that by trusting people in a forum they are not necessarily getting accurate info.

^erinsdad: I’ll sometimes link the lmgtfy site for those desirous of spoon feeding. I think it gets the point across.

Is it true that everyone at _______ is a genius and if you don’t have 2 patents already you can’t get in?

ESPECIALLY when combined with “Does anyone know if Stanford uses EA?”-type-posts!!!

(so many variants to choose from, but how about …)

“Which school is more prestigious?”

Perpetual comment that I hate, but admittedly used recently (and i hate myself for it.) If I knew how to make a sheepish emoticon right now, I would. ;-/

“He’ll bloom wherever he’s planted”.

(Is that another way of saying the kid has the IQ of a houseplant?)

“Sent from my (maker/style number? OS number?) using CC App”

I’ve seen it^ often enuff these days, then it was from the same user
how and when does it shows up? when you’d hit submit?
automatically? no matter what?
now
that’s some marketing!

^ see blue, what you started? :D

yet I’d forever need “smiles for dummies” reference chart to look up

^^It shows up when you hit “Reply” to begin typing your post. You can delete it before you hit “Submit,” but some of us are too lazy…

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using CC App

oh, it was you!!
so what does “SGH” stands for, and 1897, can’t be the year?

I forgot the smile to go with ^

That’s the year I was born.

to bad you couldn’t meet Peter Cooper.
but Henry Frick and Andrew Carnegie were still alive. I am jealous. :(

Love the kid on the couch!

hi HImom
where you been?
why don’t give your two cents on “off mainland” thread? How is it over there, for real?
have you read the one linked in few pages back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1138780-chance-me-hyps.html</a>

You can turn the signature stamp off in the mobile app by going to “more” (bottom right), “settings”, “signature”, and toggle it to “off”. The alternative would be to edit the signature stamp to read “blueiguana is a technical goddess” but that might be a little over the top… :)

when you find out how to get hearts, you can say that ^again

“bears and dogs is a going off-topic vermin”

Sent from the office’s Mac I should not be using for CC.
I think I like “eek!” the best.
