List of Perpetual CC Comments

notanengineer… good ones. However, I’ve seen more of this version of your first one…

My essays will probably be good because I’ve been told I right real good.

“I ruled out U of XYZ, because there were no pretty girls/guys”

Which engineering major has the hottest girls/guys?

“Give yourself time to grieve.”

in response to:

kid just left for freshman year
kid won’t be home this summer
kid won’t be home for Thanksgiving
kid doesn’t want to talk on the phone much
kid just graduated college
kid won’t be home for spring break
kid is doing semester abroad
kid wanted me to leave right away when we dropped him off
kid doesn’t want help in solving this issue
kid told me to back off on helping with applications

Now all the NYT has to do is copy and paste (nasty little vultures). Instead of “CC Doesn’t Take Themselves Too Seriously” it will appear as “The Best of CC”.

^rather great idea, in the right hands. Why do I think, however, that they and their sisters at wpost, wsj , usnwr and even npr, will spin it out of control?

I’m applying to HYPS. My safeties are Columbia Penn, Dartmouth, Brown and Cornell

Haha yesss. It’s probably already been said but “I have 1800 sat, I’ll get it to 2300+ no problem” “teacher recs - best student they’ve ever had”

my parents make 40,000. We have 87 houses, but we are not making any money from them. My parents have a million dollars in the bank, but this is for their retirement. I need a school where I can get full financial aid because my parents don’t have any money for my college.

One of my favorites:

How much money will FAFSA give me?

Linking the Meta Thread

Never had so much fun with Violadad’s chance thread

Oh, Sybbie, you made my evening! What a hoot.

Super smart kid will find a community of “like minded” students in the big, huge public university’s honors college/dorms.

This entire thread. Hilarious.

^ How did you find this? It is beyond hilarious!

^ Just stumbled on it. Funniest thread I’ve read.

I happened to read this one ^too, but it was sort of disturbing how one parent exposed OP kid by listing real championship winner etc, mocking “Did you change your name so that more than one can be you? Or, did you have a sex change?”
Why do grownup do that to any kid? It happens often. I don’t so mind kid picking on kid or parent to parent.
sure OP shouldn’t have trolled around to begin with, but it’s sorta cruel and narrow. how this parent took time to dig up all these facts just because…

Oh
that’s not why I came to post
the perpetual comments I meant were
“are you happy now?”
" you must be satisfied"
" now you feel better"
" good for you"
one line post after someone’s long venting post, with smirky virtual smirk. almost always adult to adult yet sounding as if the other party was a bratty kid.

^ Well that post sure is a thread killer :(

no jym, you are supposed to say

“are you happy now?”
…How do you make smirky face with mac keyboard?

This has veen a very enjoyable thread. Please don’t take it off topic or challenge other posters and cause it to deteriorate. Thanks.
