List Of safety colleges for international sudents

I'm looking for some safety colleges that also provide generous need or merit scholarships for international students.

Most likely, there won’t be any in the US.

Generous need-based aid can only be guaranteed by the very best and most selective colleges. None of them will be safeties.
At most publics, scholarships (including automatic merit scholarships) are limited to US. citizens and permanent residents.
A safety is a college where you know you will get in, you know you can afford and you know you could be successful.
If your EFC is very high, it is possible that lesser-known publics could be safety options since you might be able to pay the full cost of attendance.

Do you know what your EFC is?

In addition: There are no “safety” colleges per se. They depend on your stats. What is your average, SAT/ACT scores, Toefl, Extracurriculars?

There aren’t any “safety colleges” for int’ls that provide lots of aid because…well, if there were any, a gazillion int’ls would apply to them and then suddenly, those schools would become hard to get into because of the huge number of applicants.

However, there are some colleges that will give merit scholarships to int’ls with high stats…but those won’t be “free rides”…so your family would still have to pay a chunk.

How much will your parents pay? What are your stats?

Except for the very short list of institutions that offer guaranteed merit-based admission and aid to all applicants who meet certain GPA and ACT/SAT standards, there are no safeties in the US for international students. For most international applicants, there aren’t even any matches. Sorry, but you need to know that.

Go to the financial aid forum, and read the threads about automatic or guaranteed scholarships, then check each of the places listed to see if that money is available for international applicants. You need current information. These things can change at any time.

There’s no “safety” like for American students if you’re international, but there are schools where you have better odds of getting admitted and receiving financial aid. However it all depends on your stats since you need to be in the top 10% of applicants. Therefore:
SAT/ACT score
GPA (or ranking in your school/nationally)
Prizes won, distinctions, awards

thank you all.
