List of schools-please pm me!

Moderator, feel free to tell me if I'm out of line with this thread. I'm trying to get past the search phase into the application phase and I don't know a better way to get in touch with people who now things about the schools I'm considering. So, without further ado, I'm just going to spew out a ridiculously long list of schools and questions. Thanks!

First Category: I am completely clueless but am considering them because of scholarship or other appeal.
Long Island U
U of Mass-Amherst
University of Florida
Indiana Ball State U
University of Richmond
Quinnipiac
Marist College
For these I have the most basic of question: Is it respectable academically? How is the community (or is it to big/cosmopolitan for community)? Is there a cliquey atmosphere? Are professors accessible? Are there alternatives to the party scene? Anything else significant/interesting you know?

Southern Schools: These are my would-be reaches. I want to get into the special scholarship programs, which I realize are insanely competitive.
Emory
Vanderbilt
Duke
Wash U of St. Louis
College of William and Mary
Elon U
Before I apply: Is the school super southern (there is nothing southern about me). Do frats rule exclusively? Is there a cliquey atmosphere? Anything else I should know?

Southern Schools II: This is very specific to me, but I've heard these schools have good Christian communities on campus. I'm suspicious.
Furman
Rhodes
Davidson

Philly Schools: These are close to home.
Villanova
Temple
Drexel
If my prospective major is English, any reason why I should choose one over the other?

And briefly: People say Duquesne is a good school, but it doesn't seem all that competitive. Is it worth looking at?

I think it would be most appropriate to pm me your thoughts. Thanks for your answers to what I realize is a rather obnoxious thread.
